A Tragic Sneeze
While listing by rank of those I must thank, my brain with emotion agrees. I remember the host, who helped me the most, by nicely putting her guests at ease. She did kind distract, each guest with her tact, explaining away my tragic sneeze, (which scattered three trays of spinach souffles and sprayed each guest with splattered cheese.) With words of quick choice, in self assured voice, said, "I put too much pepper in these!" I said I was sick and leaving so quick, I barely heard their fading pleas; "Too bad you must go, we'll miss you, we know. just like dogs will miss their fleas!" Our host did insist, "You're sure to be missed at ALL of my dinners and teas!" ___________________________________________________________________ To read my new poems click on http://poemsofgaurav.blogspot.com/

Love Poem
Thanx to all my friends who want to see me as a poet again. This poem is for them. ______________________________________________________________________________ I love you like a cold pint on a red hot summer day I love you like a Kewell goal as Leeds beat Scum away I love you like the crash chord played in 'Won't Get Fooled Again' I love you like a Python sketch they're all etched on my brain I love you like the feel of cash first issued clean and crisp I love you like a twenty-one that turns up when I twist I love you like the nightcap that sets me up for bed I love you like the musty smell that permeates my shed I love you just like everything that ever gave me pleasure so please accept this sickly verse and snoggery beyond measure --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To read my new poems click on http://poemsofgaurav.blogspot.com/

This is my last poeml-Farewell My Love Is it really true our love is over now? Can it be time for us to say goodbye? Too soon, it’s much too soon, my love, for me; You smile with ease, but I can only sigh. We’ve shared our lives and given so much love; I can’t believe we’re really going to part; You’re moving toward a new life without me; I’m left with scars upon my broken heart.Go on now, if you must; I’ll get along; How much it hurts, I don’t want you to know. I’ll set you free without inducing guilt, But as you leave, the silent tears will flow.I can’t be mad; I love you way too much; I’ll hide my sadness now, so you can’t tell. Sweet happiness is what I wish for you; Farewell my love, I hope that you fare well.

Before I Met You Before I met you, I thought I was happy, and I was, but I had never known the rich contentment, deep satisfaction, and total fulfillment you brought to me when you came into my life. Before I met you, I felt a lot of things, good things, but I had never experienced the indescribably intense feelings I have for you. Before I met you, I thought I knew myself, and I did, but you looked deep inside me and found fresh new things for us to share. Before I met you, I thought I knew about love, but I didn’t, until I met you.

My Giving Friend We share so much of our lives Our joy and also our pain. Without you as my friend, I just might go insane! You know what I’m talking about; You’ve been through big things, too. Yet you cheer me when I’m happy, You comfort me when I’m blue.Your giving does not go unnoticed; I’d be lost without you, friend. What we have together No one else can comprehend.
